Terrazo Floring Systems

You wouldn’t believe it, but Terrazzo is actually one of the oldest flooring systems invented. As the Pyramids were being build, ancient Egyptians were actually laving a marble chip encrusted mortar flooring. Fast Forward to the 1920’s and Art Deco Building styles and you have new and improved terrazzo. Today, its even better as we use a Polymer-Resin system that’s mixed with the marble chips.

Terrazzo is one of our hardest and longest lasting floor systems. Strength of Marble, resin, and Polymer Binders mixed in, plus a polished finish, It can last and look good well into the future. Just make sure your children like the colors because they will inherit it! Terrazzo is infinitely Customizable, plus with different aggregates, no floor will look the same and will stay unique.

Below is an example of a Unique color system. An Olive Green Epoxy base, with the following colored marble chips: White; Black; Large Navy Blue; Small Navy Blue; Green; Rose; Red; Orange; Mother of Pearl Slices. This is at the Linfield College Science Building Expansion. We refinished and polished all Terrazzo to a 400 Grit and Burnished it.
